Mini Road Trip
Bill and I hit the road Saturday morning to go on a little mini adventure. We ventured out to western MA to visit WEBS and relax a bit. The weather was less than amazing, but even though it rained it was a great trip! Here are some of the highlights.
First stop: WEBS - What knitter/fiber enthusitist doesn't love a trip here? I think I might need a whole separate post to show off what I picked up!
Stop 2: Local Burger - After looking at every single item in Webs we worked up an appetite. Took a look at Yelp to see where we should stop, and the mention of something called "Captain Crunch Chicken Tenders" sold us. Between those, the sweet potato fries (with some sort of divine maple dipping sauce), and a burger we were quite happy campers.
Third Stop: The Foundry - Next we need some caffeine, so we stopped in this cool coffee shop/bar right next door. The maple lattes were crazy good.
Next we decided to take a little break and head back to the hotel to chill out for a bit. Relaxed, knitted, and watched some tv before venturing back out for a bit. This outing got a little complicated as we are both rather indecisive and couldn't settle on a place for dessert. We ended up at Berkshire Yogurt, which was sadly a tad disappointing. Oh well, you can't win them all! Rounded out the evening with a stop at Raven Used Books (cute little place, we even managed to spot a little yarn bombing on a parking meter out front!), some more knitting, channel surfing, and several episodes of Bad Ink (people get some terrible tattoos!).
On to Sunday...
Stop One: Jake's - Needed some breakfast and Yelp helped us out again. I got the El Paso Rancheros and Bill got the Bay State Burro. Both were excellent and everyone there was very friendly.
Final Stop: Kringle Candles - We hit the road to head towards home but made on final stop along the way. A co-worker had told me about this candle store, and it didn't disappoint. We picked up some gifts as well as several candles for ourselves!
Now it's Monday and we are back to reality, but we enjoyed our grand little merry adventure!
