Beads

It has been a really long time since I have done any beading. I used to make all kinds of bracelets and necklaces out of tiny seed beads using a loom when I was a child (I was a very crafty kid).

Today I was a little frustrated with my knitting. I can't work on my honeybee cardigan because I broke my size 4 circular needles. I finished my dad's Christmas socks and a hat for my mom, but I ran out of yarn for her scarf and mittens, so I have to order some more. Blah!

So I decided to dig out my beading stuff and organize it. Once I did that I got inspired to try out some new techniques. Instead of using a loom, I wanted to try out peyote stitch. Here are the results:

The top swatch is an odd row pattern and the bottom one is an even row pattern.

I think I need to get some bigger beads though, because with these tiny ones it is going to take forever to make anything!
