my thoughts on Ravelry...
So many others have shared (much more eloquently than I could) their feelings on Ravelry, the redesign, and how they handled (or did not make any attempt to handle) the harm they were/are causing. All I have to add at this point is that I am so sad and disappointed in the situation. I love Ravelry and it did not have to be this way. We need to believe people when they say something is hurting them. I can no longer use the desktop version of the website without getting a headache. Since the option to use “classic rav” is no longer available, I have been trying to figure out the best way to keep track of my finished projects. I think I have decided that reviving my blog might be a good way to do this. I do share quite a bit on Instagram, but I think this will be an easier place to share patterns, yarn, modification details, links, etc. I will clearly label any links that will take you to a Ravelry page (so you can choose not to click on if Ravelry is unsafe for you).
On a separate note, I just got a new sewing machine and am excited to begin dipping my toes into sewing along with knitting!
